Gratitude

First of all I thank my dad, who was an architect and was awarded with the state prize for the work on the design of hotel “Nevsky Palace” (now it is “Corinthia Hotel”) on Nevsky prospect (the main street of St. Petersburg). In my childhood he gave me the love and passion for architecture, and his work inspires me till this day.

I want to thank my Mom, who believes in me and never lets me give up. Having been an excellent interior designer, she taught me how to work with people and make not only beautiful interiors, but spaces convenient for real life.

I was lucky to have Katia Lucic as my Thesis Advisor during my time in the BAC. Katia is an amazing mentor, inspiring role model, and a high level professional. Katia saw my abilities before I could and inspired my professional growth. She is a strong, knowledgeable and very talented architect, who also has very empathetic heart. Our work together grew into a warm friendship.

Before I met Tamar, sustainability was just a buzz word for me.

Today sustainability is part of my professional interest, the way I design and how I live my everyday life. Tamar was and still is my guide through this very complicated journey. She inspired me to take new roles, pushed me to explore more and taught me how to strike a balance between optimism and reality.

I want to thank Martin for believing in me and giving me a chance to start my career in the USA. Even though my internship in Isgenuity was short, I've learned a lot and I value this experience as my starting point in the new country. Thank you Isgenuity! This is a great company and I wish you all the best!

Nicholas Kook – an architect and family friend, who helped me during my studies at the university and influenced my following career. Nicholas showed me the basics of planning and design, and later our discussions about architecture helped me to form my own vision and style. Thanks for help and support!

I thank Felix Byanov – the head and owner of the architectural bureau, who I worked with for four years. The experience of the real work, extensive and varied projects, meeting with the partners – all this valuable experience I owe to the “B2” bureau.
